The best time to visit Pondicherry is between October and March. During these months, the weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing, beach activities, and exploring the city’s French colonial charm.
 

  • Winter Season (October to February): Temperatures range between 20°C and 30°C, making it comfortable to enjoy outdoor activities and festivals like Pongal in January.

  • Monsoon Season (June to September): Pondicherry experiences moderate to heavy rainfall. While the lush surroundings are beautiful, outdoor plans might be hindered by the rain.

  • Summer Season (April to June): Summers can be hot and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 40°C. If visiting during this time, focus on early morning or evening activities.
